Buying new or qualified pre-owned vehicles is always a sound investment. It makes better sense to safeguard your valuable asset by purchasing a service contract offered by a trusted auto warranty provider like Continental Warranty, Inc.
I have an extended warranty with Continental Warranty. I took my car to the shop on February 6,2012 for a diagnostic check. The repair shop called me the next day and said my transmission was fried, basically needed a new one. I wasn’t worried, because I called Continental prior to taking it to the shop and was told my warranty covered transmission and engine problems totally. It started with Continental asking for oil change receipts (which I had) and asking me to fax them to the company. After doing this, it was another week before and adjuster came out to verify that the car needed a new transmission. After that, another week went by before I finally had to call and inquire why it was taking so long. The owner of the shop told me, he was dealing with a guy named Matt at continental warranty. When I called Matt, he came across as a nice guy, who seem concerned about getting my car back on the road. He told me after we hung up, he would order the transmission and call the mechanic to let him know of the order. Another week went by and I’m thinking that the car should be getting prepped to give back to me. I called and the mechanic said he hasn’t heard from Matt nor has the transmission been delivered. I called Matt and he told me he was in the process of ordering the transmission. Another week goes by, no transmission and neither of the two have answers for me. Meanwhile I’m making monthly car payments and no car. They both suggested I rent a car in the meantime, but Continental said they would not put up any money for a rental?. I went on a two week vacation and thought that by time I came back the car would be ready and I get get back to my regular routine which included my car”. I called the mechanic
Very unprofessional. never return calls despite what phone tree says. Wait time exceeding long. Never have these issues with CNA.
Do NOT buy this warranty!!! I own four Mercedes Benz and bought extended warranty policies from this company. They have denied almost every claim. The ABC malfunction (no power-steering for a 2 ton car), not covered! Trunk door does not close, not covered!! cruise-control malfunction – NOT covered!!! Finally, there is something they cover, a minor suspension problem. But wait, they claim that the Mercedes dealer charged too much and they only cover half. That’s not all, I need to pay the dealer upfront, then they will mail me a check later. It has been a month, that check is still not received. I bought this extended warranty at my local Mercedes dealer and I made it clear that I will not purchase any cars from that dealer unless they fix the warranty problem or kick out Continental from the dealer’s office! I also told everyone I know not to buy such a piece of junk!!!
I am very pleased with the service I received from Continental. They made sure I was driving to work the same day. Thank you
Frauds will not cover beware.
Stay Away!!!! Just had the second rejection for a warranty claim the first was some time ago with a oil level sensor, not covered. The Continental Rep freely indicated to me that the contract language is about 10 years old, hasn’t been updated with some of the newer parts. The contract clearly calls out Hi-Tech Electronics, but that does’t mean everything only does very minor items listed. Legally, if it isn’t clearly excluded it is usually included, but not with Continental. Second item was the CV Joint boots, not covered. CV joints are covered but not the boots, the item that protects the joint. When pressed if the axle failed and the boot was damaged would the axle be covered, the answer was no. So basically, as others have pointed out, they will find some reason to deny and leave up to you to get legal assistance to fight them. Not worth the money. STAY AWAY!!!
I purchased a Continental Warranty Extended Warranty contract through the Land Rover Cherry Hill, NJ dealership. The contract is comprehensive and clearly lists all items covered by warranty by category. My repair item was clearly listed. The dealership forgot to submit the warranty claim and told us to contact Continental and submit our receipt for full reimbursement of the warranty item less the deductible. The Continental Representative arguablly stated that they would not honor the warranty and that although the item was listed they no longer provide warranty for such covered repair. What’s the point in a contract! BUYER BE WARE!! DO NOT PURCHASE THIS EXTENDED WARRANTY. You may think that buying an extended warranty from the dealer you purchased your car from is reputable, but it is not.
When a warranty says $100 deductible normally it means we only pay $100. They tried to charge me over $800 for a blown head gasket then after arguing for A WEEK finally got them to replace the engine which i still had to pay $300(plus deductible) and the engine was a junk one and had to put a second one in GOT CHARGE $300 AGAIN!!! Customer service will NOT return any phone calls!! Been over 2 months and now am getting a letter from mechanic shop saying i owe $1000 because continental never paid! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!
I recently bought a auto warranty from Fidelity Automotive Solutions. I later found out they work with carchex who helped me out greatly. the sales person and manager were so nice and helped me with understanding the policy. I have a 2009 BMW. I got a Royal policy on my car that covers everything. Fidelity automotive solutions explained not only the good about the policy but the negatives as well. In my opinion the positives greatly outweighs the negatives because I plan on keeping the car for at-least another 3 years . God for bid something happens I would be out of pocket so much money. I would recommend anyone looking for a policy to go to their website www.fidelityautomotivesolutions.com
I was apprehensive about putting a warranty on my vehicle because the company was offering a good plan without even looking at my vehicle. I couldn’t understand how a company could take on such a liability without knowing the condition of a car. After much talk with both Continental Warranty and my GM dealership, I am now able to understand why I was able to get the plan. I’m glad I put down the deposit because I was able to do my homework and continue looking at other companies. After much research, I found cheaper plans that had the same coverage but the insurance company behind was not as strong which resulted in more problems when my car would break down. My GM mechanic said he has no problems with Premier Dealer Services and would recommend them. I’m glad I jumped on it because my dealership wasn’t willing to do anything for me and THEY DO ALL THE SERVICES FOR MY CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Their sales department keeps calling. I’ve called numerous times to let them know we’re not interested and to stop ALL sales calls. I’ve emailed and called many times. Please stop calling!!!
