Since 1974, Old Republic Insured Automotive Services, Inc. has been a leading provider of services and products in the F&I industry and recognized as one of the top auto warranty companies in the nation.
I purchased an extended from this company and cancelled on 10/29/2015. I have yet to receive my refund of more than 1700.00. and it is now 1/2016. I’ve been receiving emails stating my warranty was processed on 11/2/2015 and my refund will be sent from Old Republic to Car Solutions and on to my credit union but still nothing. I have now filed a complaint with the CFPB. The first dealer I went to advised against this company but I thought they were up to something. I should have listened. If I could give a rating of less than 1, I would!!!
I’d give them negative stars if it were possible. This is without a doubt the worst warranty company I have ever dealt with. Constantly denying repairs that their brochure says they cover. Had an oil cooler leak that they did fix, but when it happened again they said it was a mistake and they shouldn’t have covered it. I have an oil leak where the oil line goes I to the block. Guess what, denied, along with the air spring, which has a bad upper bearing/mount than bangs and thunks over every bump. This is after they told the dealer it would be approved. The dealer ordered the parts and they changed their minds and said they wouldn’t cover it. They also won’t cover my diesel exhaust fluid tank heater, which is an emissions item, which they state they cover. They also denied my steering column module. Paid over $4,000 for a company that does everything they can not to cover anything. Only reason I went with this company is because I had no idea it was old republic, and my credid union would not finance my vehicle with an warranty unless it was with their warranty provider, which lo and behold after it was all said and done I get the warranty package and it’s none other than Old Republic! I knew this was a mistake because my wife had them as a home warranty company and they denied every claim she filed. Save your money and research before you get suckered in by these frauds.
So I bought this truck it came lifted big tires and some engine mods not much well I have some engine problems and they said because it’s lifted and has big tires that they can’t cover anything so after getting a 3500$ warranty through the dealership it’s not gonna be covered so now I have to find 4500$ to fix my truck steer clear of this warranty company
When I bought my new house (which is only 6 years old) last month I was comforted in adding the expense of the home warrenty with Old Republic. What a joke this company is! Within a few weeks one of the toilets came lose from the floor. I called for a repair and paid my $55 only to be told it was a “pre-existing”” condition and a part was missing. A part? The toilet was working fine the first couple of weeks?. What part could that have been? After paying this $55 for nothing
I read these reviews and must say they are so different from my own experience I need to comment. I bought a used 2009 BMW X5 from my son in law in 2011 and took out an Ultimate Plus policy from Republic Warranty Services. The car has been well maintained by BMW dealers and now has 85,000 miles on it. Over the last two years, the car has had several repairs at BMW dealerships totaling well over $15,000. All major parts and labor were covered after an insurance inspector saw the car torn down. Replacement oil, antifreeze, power steering fluid and a couple of small water parts damaged during one repair were not covered. I asked my BMW service rep how the insurance company was to deal with. He said he had no problems and they were one of the better companies to work with. He was surprised that, unlike BMW’s warranty, there was no deductible on my policy. All of my major repairs are now well known issues with the BMW X5 and all occurred after 50,000 miles. I highly recommend this policy on this car based on my experience.
This has got to be the worst warranty company on the face of the Earth! I have never seen a company with such lousy, substandard customer service! Ny wife purchased a full warranty for her 2010 Mini Cooper and a couple of the cylinders went bad and the water pump croaked after we only had the car a few months and guess what, they wouldn’t cover all of the repair work because it wasn’t moving parts! The repair bill ended up being over $2K out of my pocket. Do your self a favor and steer clear of these crooks! 8-((((
WARNING!!!!Worst experience ever. I had a premium bumper to bumper warranty paid about $4,000 for it. A piece of mind warranty turn to be a big nightmare. My car broke down from engine issue. They denied to cover it. Bad faith insurance company. NOW I have to go to a lot of 3rd party government agencies to deal with this scam company. I will sue them to the MAX. My car is still not fixed.
Old Repuplic is not worth the paper its contrat is printed on. Had a Ford Fiesta 2011 that was just out ot manufacture warrantee. It just would not start. Tooke it in nad it was a battery issue but the low battery caused all kinds of electrical issue. Old Republic paid zilch. The customer service people are also not very easy to deal with. Next time I will go with the car makers extended warrantee.
I have a 2007 Mini Cooper. My timing gauge broke off into the engine and ceased up the engine, leaving all 4 cylinders with no compression. They were trying to get me to just replace the timing chain which wasn’t broken. After two mechanic shops and close to 3 weeks into it they finally agreed to replace the engine, when they realized I was about to file a complaint with the insurance commissioner. Now, after all of that and $1200 in rental fees they say they’ll only pay $180 for car rental on a job they are paying over $4800 for. Not sure how they do their math, but their customer service and the way they do business I would give a NEGATIVE 100!
Just left my 2010 Toyota Prius at universal Toyota where I bought it brand new. Apparently the wheel bearing or wheel bearings are going out and the blower is making excessive noise.my cabin filter is gonna be $55. To replace..(why is this not covered) I was told “bumper to bumper” like many of you all, either toyota is misrepresenting info or you all OLD REPUBLIC are. I will post my results after everything with my car is finalized I expect to get what I paid for since this is the first time I am using it..paid 1500. For this GOLD PLAN IN ADAVANCE..WILL B looking for great customer service in the next few calls
I purchased the old republic superior car warranty! What a waste! The whole product ,cost and coverage was misrepresented. I would never get this junk policy again. And have cancelled remainder of this policy.
had them for years and never had any problems.. Kudos!!
I don’t normally post reviews about companies, but I had to express some concerns I had, and was wondering if this is how coverage is handled. I recently purchased a policy and called in for a repair that was needed a week in to the policy start date (wasn’t expensive). They categorized the repair “pre-existing” and was not willing to cover. After going back and forth with them I finally got some of my repairs covered but not the full amount. Im not going to say that im not satisfied but the time and effort I put in to get some monies back for the repair was a real pain!
